“Bottled Confessions”

Kept in until shaken,
The pressure is mounting, but settled down on the back-end,
Lost friends,
Made friends,
We all grew up from boys to men,
Boyfriends became husbands,
Some fell back to single or boyfriend again,
Advice I did give and did lend,
I’m not at all better than any of them,
Still sin,
Repent,
Only to sin again,
To all this I am not foreign,
It hurts and is hard at times I cannot pretend,
Reeling,
I am Reeling,
These tears of mine are deeply rooted and I am deeply saddened,
Mixture of life experiences along with depression struggling to tie up loose ends,
I walked away…returned even more weakened,
Poured my bleeding soul into writing – poetry I learned to befriend,
Best friends came and went,
Only to learn who I felt was the best never felt the same so I never had them with to begin,
Brother man,
Brethren,
Hard times and bad decisions,
No defense, this I cannot defend,
Not who I am,
I must transcend,
Do better than and then,
I’ve felt at times love has forsaken,
I have witnessed love as within me it has awakened,
Love has led me to some dead ends,
Love has allowed me to extend,
Love has been my best dividend,
Helped me comprehend,
My purpose for living is giving,
Love has given me confidence,
Someone to believe in,
Love I need you to be more than just a glimpse,
To be more than just a sheepish grin,
I need your constant pressure on my skin,
I desire and require your presence,
I need to be able to trust you with my life….
My life long bottled confessions.
